Organisations and community groups that are interested in hosting a Peer Outreach Worker for East Ayrshire’s Community Peer Outreach Services are able to do so now.
If you are thinking of submitting an Expression Of Interest but would like more information we will be holding a series of Question and Answer sessions on Tuesday 3rd August. The sessions will be delivered via Zoom with each individual organisation and will last for an hour. Sessions will be available on an hourly basis starting from 9.30am, if you would like to participate please contact me on the email address given below.
The successful organisations will employ a peer with a lived experience to provide an outreach service to assist vulnerable individuals access services/ supporting them to overcome barriers to engagement.
The service will be provided to adults living in specific communities in East Ayrshire, who have been identified as facing multiple barriers when engaging with services as a result of their use of alcohol and/or drugs or other multiple and complex needs. The service will focus on those communities where the need has been assessed as higher, these are:
• Dalmellington and Bellsbank
• Kilmarnock (North West)
• Kilmarnock (Shortlees)
• Cumnock
If your organisation or community group would like to express an interest in hosting one of the peer outreach worker jobs please email Nicola.caldwell@cvoea.co.uk
